"Go Back Home" is a song about a person very close to us that comes from a very upperclass, all white, conservative neighborhood. This person had major family issues and wanted to move out and relocate into the city of Chicago. What he didn't comprehend is the completely different lifestyle out there where there is a lot more traffic, gangs, and crime. A couple stories we have was we were driving through Humboldt Park at around 2am and stopped at a red light. Our friend believed Humboldt Park was very safe and that if we let him step out of the car and we drove off and came back after 10 minutes, he would still be completely fine. Another story was that we were coming back from a NoFX show at the House of Blues in Chicago, and our friend was walking through traffic with his eyes completely glued to his phone and was almost hit by a car at full speed. We yelled his name multiple times so he can pay attention and he ended up getting annoyed and mad at us instead.
