"Dead Roses For A Pretty Face" is about me finally saying "forget it all with this girl I met, because this has caused me such a mess." I realized over time that I was the only one putting in the effort, sending text messages and whatnot. I felt led on. I have accepted that I am to blame and have felt shame for it, but at some point we live and we learn.
